2. Connect

Connect is in preview. Apps use their upstream licenses; this is an independent integration.
Validation coverage
Codex CLI 0.153.4, Kilo CLI 7.5.15 and OpenClaw 2026.9.2 were installed on Debian 12; Hermes 2026.8.31 was installed on Ubuntu 24.04. All four completed requests against a controlled endpoint with the configured key and model. Browser pairing and single-use encryption passed automated tests. A fresh Ubuntu 22.04 environment also completed the public installer, live browser authorization and a real CLSSAI model response through Kilo.
LibreChat configuration is provided, but a full startup test was blocked by the test server’s available disk space. The installer now checks storage before downloading its containers. Desktop execution is not tested.
Supported environments
Linux and macOS use a private Node.js 24 runtime; Windows uses PowerShell and a user-only credential directory. Hermes runs in WSL on Windows. LibreChat requires Docker with Compose and 8 GB of free Docker storage. Codex Desktop configuration supports macOS and Windows with the app already installed.
Configuration and recovery
Files live under ~/.local/share/clssai-connect. Run the printed launcher with doctor <app> to inspect model and endpoint settings without printing the key. Codex Desktop creates a backup before updating ~/.codex/config.toml; restore codex-desktop restores that backup.
Credential handling
Device requests expire in 10 minutes. API keys are encrypted in your browser for the installer’s ephemeral key; the server stores ciphertext and releases it once. CLI credential files use owner-only permissions. Desktop credentials are stored in its protected configuration file so the GUI can use them without a shell environment.
What is not configured automatically?
Docker Engine, desktop app binaries, messaging channels and optional third-party tools require their own setup. LibreChat creates a local web app on port 3080; register a local account after installation. Desktop execution has not been tested.
